Curator & Catalyst
With over 20 years of executive leadership experience in professional philanthropy, Toya Nash Randall is a renowned champion of black women with a deep passion for amplifying their commitment to bring equity, inclusion, and justice to the sector.
In 2020, she created the trailblazing digital narrative platform Voice. Vision. Value. Black Women Leading Philanthropy. As Curator and Catalyst of VVV, Toya has mobilized a multi-generational collaborative network of partners and investors committed to celebrating, uplifting, and sustaining the leadership presence and contribution of Black women working across the sector. Under her leadership, VVV develops customized tools and curricula, curates experiences for small cohorts of leaders, and partners with Black women researchers and authors to produce a compelling body of literature and research that captures the beauty, brilliance, and bold contributions of Black women leading philanthropy at the often-perilous intersection of gender, class, and race.
In addition to leading VVV, Toya serves as Senior Director of Community Initiatives in the office of the CEO at Casey Family Programs where she leads a national portfolio of multi-sector alignment and racial equity initiatives centered on community health and safety, school climate and justice, child well-being, and family strengthening. Additional leadership contributions include serving as Co-Chair of the Greater New Orleans Funders Network Board of Directors and founding Trustee of the Nafasi Fund. She is a former Executive Committee member for Communities for Just Schools Fund and a former board member for The Giving Square, ABFE, and Philanthropy Northwest.
Toya is an inaugural ABFE Connecting Leaders Fellow, one of the founders of the ABFE Black Women in Philanthropy Leadership Retreat, and an inaugural Funders Network for Smart Growth P.L.A.C.E.S. Fellow. In 2021, she was named one of 10 inaugural Black Women Give Back honorees by the Women’s Philanthropy Institute and Black Philanthropy Month.
